home sweet home

is it really home sweet home..
it sort of is..nd sort of isnt..it isnt coz i dnt hav a gud pc here..ppl think tht since i am sitting in front of pc all the time whn i'm @ IIIT its a welcom break nt to use one..bt u knw..hav kinda grown attachd to my pc..so it sux @ home without a pc tht can work..
yeah i do hav a pc @ home..bt its jst a box..running winxp on a p3@700mhz with 64mb ram pc isnt a joke..the os eats up most of ur mem..
besides tht m havin fun here..food is gud..though m nt eating *fattening* stuff..stil goin for jogging nd all..frnds r also free so we hang out a lot..tv sux as usual..
its kinda mixed feelings..i also mis coding here..tc arena wnt run :(
one gud thing though is tht tomb raider 3 runs on this pc..nd i love tr..so most of my time goes away in tht..nd net connection is decent..
wish i had my pc here..

paper nd more

i always thot writing a paper wud be a piece of cake..until i gt to write one!!
its a really hectic job..lucky tht i hav ranjith doing most of the work :)
neways..it tuk me arnd 8 hrs to write 2 paras on my own work..the thing i hav been working on for over a year now!! i cant blieve tht..its nt tht i dint hav stuf to write..its more tht i dint knw hw to express tht stuff in english rather than math :)
m really bored nwadays..nuthin to do..dnt feel like watching nething also..i dunno wat has happend to me..its high time i went home..nd i think i wil leave by 26th..
i jst hp this paper gets accepted..

wel i dint feel like working much today..so i dint do much 3D modelling..i saw a movie after a long time..crash..at pvr (first time)..the theatre was really gud..
neways i just added a couple of more things to my room - a carrom board and another kind of chair..i really liked the way i made the cushion on this chair..it looks really gud and fluffy :)

this post is mainly in memory of my best frnd here @ IIIT leaving..i was the first one he met here..nd thn started our frndship..nd its lasted for all four yrs..
m feeling really sad at this moment..had i been alone m sure i wud hav cried..i dnt want us to go our own ways..bt thts life i gues..
he was a great frnd..nvr said no to anything..movie yes..outing yes..canteen yes..it was at his room tht i always usd to hang out..the first room i goto whn i enter hostel is his..wher wil i goto nw..al i can hear are echoes whn i enter the same room..the room tht usd to buzz with the noise of movies nd tv episodes is now so quiet..the silence really hurts..
we've shared so many laughs..so many fun times..his movie theatre is pretty wel known..wil nvr forget him..
i'll miss u dilip..

ever since i studied grafix in second yr. and i saw shiben making all those awesome stuff using opengl i've also wanted to make smthing gud..bt i was too lazy to code everything using opengl library..
nw tht i've started using ac3d m realizing all those *dreams* :)
i made a room..tuk a gud two days..i added a computer, table, chair, bed and cupboard to the room..cant thing of nething more to add (an attachd bathroom??)

this time i decided to make an aircraft..
i cudnt find ne gud textures for the aircraft..so i decided to make a non-textured one..it isnt as gud as a textured aircraft model would be..bt m pretty happy with wat i made..it tuk me the whole of the early hours of today to do it..here r sm renders of the model -

after goin thru booty's blog i decided to try and use ac3d and povray coz for a long time i hav wanted to create 3D models..
it tuk me a whole nite to get a feel of 3D modelling and the whole of today's afternoon and evening to actually create something..

i wasnt very happy with it..thn i learnt sm texture mapping..tuk me a gud 2hrs to get the hang of it..and finally i created this -
